Over the years Geraldine has created thousand of creations. She fondly remembers her first decorating experience as she was part of the team for one of Prince Charles' and
Lady Diana's Wedding Cakes. In 1983, one of Geraldine's original designs was first displayed at I.C.E.S., which featured her own technique for a "Floating Collar".
This led to a coveted invitation to demonstrate this advanced form of decoration in Cape Town, South Africa in 1984. Through her demonstrations in shows in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Argentina, the United
States and Australia, Geraldine's reputation has grown internationally. Geraldine has won many awards over the years including the St. Martin's Trophy from the British Sugarcraft Guild in 1985.
Other notables include the Prince of Japan, and The Walt Disney Company's Toronto Office have displayed her creations.
Geraldine first began publishing her own books in 1983 The Art of Gumpaste Flower Making was followed up by Techniques in Cake Design (now considered a collector's item), Simply Elegant: More Techniques in Cake Design, Portfolio: Geraldine's Collection of Cake Ideas, and her latest publication, Unforgettable Wedding Cakes: A Collection of Cold Porcelain Flowers and Impression Mats. As a result of her passionate involvement in the industry, Geraldine is continuously sought as a speaker, teacher, and writer - for television, radio, and magazines.
Geraldine Randlesome is a member of the Canadian Society of Sugar Artistry, Toronto; the International Cake Exploration Society (I.C.E.S.), U.S.A.; British Sugarcraft, London, England; South African Sugarcraft, South Africa; and New South Wales Cake Decorators Guild, Australia.
Geraldine's latest achievement came in August 1999 when she was inducted into the I.C.E.S. Hall of Fame.
