SWIRL Cakes & Cupcakes founder and head Cake Designer Lynnette MacDonald earned her reputation as one of Calgary’s most sought-after cake designers by channeling her unrivaled perfectionism and meticulous attention to detail into creating unique cakes and cupcakes for over 10 years.

Lynnette’s passion for baking started at an early age: in her mom Marie’s kitchen where fresh baked bread and homemade kitty cat birthday cakes were a staple. It is here where Lynnette learned how to perfect and recreate recipes that had been in the family for generations.

In 2002, Lynnette decided to convert passion to profession, and trained in the art of cake design and decorating. Lynnette proudly shares her family recipes today – with her discerning clientele who seek delicious desserts, perfectly decorated in SWIRL’s kitchen.
