Meet Our Chapter Administrators

Guild Administrator and Owner of Let Them Eat Cakes
Born in London and having lived for many years in France, her love of the culinary arts has followed her throughout her life.  When she settled in Canada seven years ago she discovered her passion for cake decorating and took lessons at the Bonnie Gordon School and Mohawk College.  Lynne, a founder member of the CCDG, has been teaching cake decorating since 2008.
Dundas Chapter and Owner of Picture Perfect Cakes
Born in Bradford, June has been cake decorating for the last 46 years and has been a member of ICES for many years, taken lessons with Carrie Biggers, Nicholas Lodge, Stephen Benison, Kathy Scott and others.  As a certified instructor, founder member of the CCDG and accomplished water colour artist, June enjoys sharing her extensive knowledge and experience with others teaching entry level classes, as well as gum paste flowers, figurines and intermediate techniques.

Bonnie taught her first Introduction to Cake Decorating course in 2004 after receiving requests from aspiring cake decorators all over Canada.  Today The Bonnie Gordon School boasts graduates who have become some of Canada's finest cake designers.  Bonnie is known internationally as a mentor and teacher in the field of cake design and specializes in patisserie, chocolate delicacies, blown sugar, carved cakes and advanced cake design.
London Chapter and Owner of the Whimsical Bakery
Christine was trained at The Bonnie Gordon School, Klara Johnson's School and is a graduate of the Georgian College in Hospitality Management.  Christine knows that the key to success is all about consistency and the best ingredients and is eager to share her knowledge with her students.  Christine currently lives and works in London Ontario and specializes in cupcakes and carved cakes.

As a child, Hilary  never spent much time in the kitchen except when her mom was baking up something sweet, homemade tarts, upside-down pineapple cake and her favorite; rich Jamaican-style fruitcake. Now she spends countless hours in her kitchen while juggling cake orders, teaching  and running her shop.

Theresa Lanziner

Born and raised in North Vancouver, Theresa comes from a family of bakers including her grandfather who worked as a pastry chef back in Bavaria and the Dolomite Mountains. After completing courses in cake decorating, chocolate and sugar craft, she decided to start off on her own and began Cake Tease in the winter of 2009.

Always exploring and developing her creative side, Theresa’s background includes painting, drawing, welding and many other forms of artistic expression which constantly lends itself to creating all kinds of edible art. 

Chrissie Boon

Chrissie’s love for sugar art has been a long time coming. Starting in her mom’s kitchen with her little toy oven, to eventually running her own Christmas cookie business. It only seemed fitting that she follow her love to a professional level. Chrissie took her skills to that level by completing her Masters in Cake Decorating and Confectionery Arts in Toronto. There she studied along side fellow decorators from the United States, Germany and Hong Kong. She recently completed her Elite Cake Decorator certificate at the internationally renowned Klara Johnson’s School of Confectionery Arts. There she had the opportunity to study under world famous cake decorators.

Gordana learned her craft from Colette Peters, Nicholas Lodge, Michelle Bommarito, Bonnie Gordon, Ashley Vicos and other well known cake artists.  Cake Decorating instructor at Mohawk college for eight years and one of the first members of the CCDG (or the Cake Spotters Guild as it was previously known) Gordana has been instrumental in bringing the guild to where it is today and takes an active role in our further education programs as well as the content of our meetings.
